Privacy policy
Last updated: 6 November 2026
AutoOfficeNow is made by 582 Digital LLC ("we"). This policy covers the AutoOfficeNow desktop app, the AutoOfficeNow Chrome extension, and this website.
The short version
AutoOfficeNow runs on your computer. Your workflows, their runs, the pictures they take and the passwords you save stay there. There's no AutoOfficeNow account and no AutoOfficeNow cloud. The app doesn't send us analytics, usage data or crash reports. The one thing it asks our server for is whether there's a new version.
What stays on your computer
- Your workflows, as files in the folder you choose.
- Runs: what each run did, its logs, and pictures of the pages it worked on. Pictures blank out password fields and other sensitive fields.
- Saved logins, secrets and connections (for example your Google account or your mail server), in an encrypted vault whose key your operating system's keychain protects.
- Settings and the link between the app and your Chrome.
None of this is sent to us. It leaves your computer only when one of your workflows sends it somewhere (for example, a step that emails a file), or when you export or share it yourself.
Connections the app makes
Checking for updates. Once a day, and when you press Check now, the app
asks updates.autoofficenow.com whether there's a newer version. The request
says which version you have, your operating system and processor type, and the update
channel (Stable or Beta). Like any web request, it also carries your IP address. It
carries no identifier for you or your computer. Our download server, operated with
Cloudflare, keeps ordinary access logs (time, IP address, file requested) for a short time
to keep the service running and secure; we don't use them to identify anyone. You can turn
automatic downloads off under Settings → Updates.
Setting up the browser. If you choose to set up the app's own automation browser, the app downloads Chrome for Testing from Google's servers. Google's privacy policy covers that download.
Your workflows. Your workflows go where you tell them: the websites they open, and the services you connect (Google, your email server, other web services). The app connects to those directly from your computer, signed in with the credentials you gave it. We don't see that traffic or its contents. Each service's own privacy policy covers what you send it.
AI assistants. If you let an AI assistant use AutoOfficeNow (Settings → AI assistants), the app makes your workflows available to that assistant on your computer only. What the assistant sends to its provider is between you and that provider.
The Chrome extension
The extension connects Chrome to the AutoOfficeNow app on the same computer, so your workflows can run in the Chrome you're signed in to. To do that it reads and acts on pages: the address and title of the tabs it opens, their text and pictures of them, your clicks and typing while you record a workflow, and the saved logins a workflow types into a sign-in form.
It sends all of this only to the AutoOfficeNow app on your computer, through Chrome's native messaging. It sends nothing to us or to anyone else, has no remote code, and asks for access to a website only when a workflow first needs it. You can remove that access in Chrome's settings at any time.
Google user data
When you connect a Google account, the app uses Gmail, Google Sheets and Google Drive only for the workflow steps you build with them, such as reading new emails or adding a row to a sheet. That data moves directly between your computer and Google; we never receive it. The app's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can disconnect the account in the app, and revoke its access at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
What we don't do
- We don't require an account.
- We don't collect analytics, usage statistics or telemetry.
- We don't send crash reports automatically.
- We don't show ads, and we don't sell or share personal data.
When you contact us
If you email us, we use your message and address to answer you. If you send us a diagnostics file the app saved for a failed run, it holds what that run did, with passwords and other sensitive values removed; look inside before you send it. We use it only to help you, and delete it when we no longer need it. Ask us any time to delete what you've sent.
Downloads and this website
The AutoOfficeNow installers and updates come from our download server,
updates.autoofficenow.com, which we operate with Cloudflare. Like the update
check, a download is an ordinary web request: Cloudflare keeps ordinary access logs (time,
IP address, file requested) for a short time, and we don't use them to identify anyone. You
install the extension from the Chrome Web Store, whose privacy policy covers that service.
This website uses no advertising or tracking cookies. Its host keeps ordinary access logs,
as above.
Children
AutoOfficeNow isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal data.
Your choices
Everything the app keeps is on your computer, so you control it: delete workflows and runs in the app, remove saved logins and connections, or uninstall the app and delete its data folder. For anything you've sent us, email us and we'll tell you what we have or delete it.
Security
The vault is encrypted on your computer. The link between the extension and the app is authenticated with keys made when you pair them, and only works on the same computer. We sign each app update when we release it, and the app checks that signature and the download's checksum before it installs anything.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and say what changed. If a change means the app would send something new, the app will ask you first.
